FAQ

Countdown timer questions

How do I pause and resume the timer?

Click the Pause button during a running countdown to hold it at the current time. Click Start (or Resume) to continue from where it paused. This is useful for handling unexpected interruptions during a focused session.

Can I use this as a 1 hour timer?

Yes. Enter 1 in the hours field and 0 in minutes and seconds, then press Start. The timer will count down from 60:00 and alert you when complete.

What is the difference between a countdown timer and a stopwatch?

A countdown timer counts down from a set time to zero and alerts you when finished — ideal for sessions with a defined endpoint. A stopwatch counts up from zero and records laps — better for measuring elapsed time in open-ended activities. GlowClock has both.
